More info

Absolution are a Birmingham-based death metal band originally formed by former Benediction / Cerebral Fix bass player Paul Adams during the winter of 1991.

The band supported many well known Death Metal acts of the time (Impaler, Benediction, Bolt-Thrower, Warlord, Cannibal Corpse and others) and created a well received demo called ‘Remmitance of Pennance’.

The band broke up in the mid 90’s but was reformed by the original singer and rhythm guitarist in 2012. They recruited new members and went on to release the EP ‘Temptations of the Flesh’ in 2015. After a few line up changes the current lineup (including the original drummer) stabilized and the band finally created their debut album ‘Confessions of the Iniquitous’ due for 2018 release on CDN Records. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Greg Chandler of Funeral Doom band Esoteric which was actually formed by the band’s original guitarist!

The band continues to play live as often as possible and has recently shared the stage with well respected bands such as Memoriam, Warlord, Cerebral Fix (whom singer Neil was also a member of and sang on their latest album ‘Disaster of Reality’), Master, Blood Red Throne, Kroh, Cambian, Warcrab. Re-animator, D.A.M. and dozens of others. Onward!
